Proclaim Announces Piano Auditions!
?Announcing piano auditions for Proclaim! for the 2012-2013 school year. If you?d like to lend your talent and spirit in leading songs for school Masses, now is the time to apply. At this time, only piano auditions will be entertained; other auditions will open after Spring Break. You can pick up application forms and/or get information from Mr. Martin in the Campus Ministry Office or Mr. Moser in Room 308. Applications are due by Monday February 13, 2012.?

Baseball Season 2012
Attention all students who are participating in baseball this spring: There is an important informational meeting on Thursday, February 9th, during block lunch at 11:15am in Room 316 (Mr. Fox's room).
Attention All Track and Field Athletes!
Optional pre-season track & field conditioning continues for the next 3 weeks. Distant runners can check in w/ Coach Wells after school every day. Sprint workouts with Coach Wagner are Tuesday and Thursdays at the track at 3:25pm until 4:30pm. And Coach Furrer is doing Pole Vault workouts Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30pm as well.
The Equestrians are Back and Riding!
Sheldon/Marist's first Oregon High School Equestrian Team Equestrian Meet is this weekend, beginning Friday at noon and all day Saturday and Sunday at the Oregon Horse Center (just off N.W. Expressway)! Come out and cheer on our Marist riders as they "Cowgirl Up" for the weekend! Our horsewomen include; Macaela Crowley, Susie Baird and Kristin Schlitt.
*No charge for admission; dress warmly; restaurant on premises.
Support Marist Dance Team!
The Marist Dance Team is performing at the South Eugene "Love to Dance" Showcase on Saturday, February 11th, in the main gym at South. Doors open at 2:30pm, show begins at 3:00pm and cost is $5.00. Be there to support our dance team and to enjoy a great show!
Attention Semester 1 Ceramic Students!
All students who took ceramics Semester 1 are required to come and pick up all their final projects from the Art Room. Mrs. Schmidt will hold them for two weeks and after that, they will be given to the Target-Shooting Club...and she's not kidding!
From the Marist Theatre: Call Out for Auditions!
Marist Theatre invites you to audition for our Spring Play "TOO MANY CHICKENS", a new comedy by Keith Kessler. A Wacky Family Comedy involving chickens, vacuums, fairies, the royal order of the Antelopes, dogs, veterinarians, architects, pottery, mad inventions, gardens, love, writers block, the internet, bad puns, silly cheers, and absolutely no animals hurt in this production! Auditions are Monday and Tuesday February 6th and 7th at 3:00pm in the theatre and opens April 20th. See Mr. Rust for more info and to read a script.
Midyear transcript request for college apps
Seniors -Most colleges require midyear transcripts showing first semester grades if they've admitted you, or have yet to make an admissions decision with your application. If your prospective colleges have requested a midyear transcript, come by the counseling office, fill out the info sheet, and we will send the required transcript/ midyear report. See Mr. Wirth or Ms. Deffenbacher with questions.
Brown-Bag Lunch
Here comes the judge!!!.....and the attorney. Careers in the legal profession will be the focus of the next Brown-Bag Lunch on Thursday, February 9th at lunch in room 200. We will welcome Federal Judge Tom Coffin and attorney, Jim Hoffman. Sign up in the Counseling Center or e-mail Mr. Ragan.
NHSTutoring Program
A reminder to students and teachers. Members of the National Honor Society are available each Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 to 3:15 for tutoring assistance in the following subjects: Math, Foreign Language, English, Science, and History. Peer tutoring has been successful at Marist and most other high schools. Don't hesitate to take advantage of this important opportunity.
